MP Foundation Brings the Community Together at Kew Gardens

Around 60 local residents, including children, families, carers and elderly people, joined MP Foundation for a community day out at Kew Gardens in London.

A Day to Bring People Together

In August 2026, MP Foundation organised a community trip to Kew Gardens in London, bringing together around 60 local residents, including children, families, carers and elderly people. The trip was organised as part of MP Foundation’s work to strengthen local communities and give people opportunities to spend time together outside their usual surroundings. For some attendees, particularly elderly residents and families with children, organised community outings can make it easier to enjoy places they may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit.

The group travelled together by coach and spent the day exploring Kew Gardens, enjoying its open spaces, plants, gardens and family-friendly environment. The day also gave local residents an opportunity to meet other people from the community, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy a relaxed day away from everyday pressures. MP Foundation believes community support is not only about responding during times of hardship. Bringing people together, reducing isolation and creating positive experiences are also important parts of building a stronger community. We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the day enjoyable. MP Foundation hopes to continue organising community activities, family outings and support programmes in West London, alongside our wider charitable work in the UK and Bangladesh.

Making a Difference, Together.
