A Second Chance: The Story of a Sponsored Orphan

Impact Story: A Safe Home for Ashab Ali and His Family

Background: Poverty and Shelter Crisis in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, millions of people live below the poverty line without secure shelter. Families endure harsh weather, damaged housing, and the daily fear of having no safe place to call home.

Meet Ashab Ali and His Family

Ashab Ali is mentally disabled and unable to communicate. After separating from his wife, he was left to care for his two daughters and one son.

Struggling with extreme poverty, Ashab relied on small cleaning jobs that earned very little. His children were forced out of education due to financial hardship, and the family often went hungry.

Their living conditions were dire — partially sealed walls, no electricity, no heating, and no hot water. Cold winter nights and unsafe housing made life extremely difficult.

The Support from MP Foundation

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, MP Foundation was able to fund and build a new tin-shed home for Ashab Ali and his children.

This house is fully sealed with doors and windows, protecting the family from both the heat and the cold. It also gives them a sense of security, dignity, and stability that they never had before.

“We are so excited to finally move into our new home,” the family shared with joy.

The Impact: Security, Stability, and Hope

For Ashab Ali and his children, this home means more than shelter. It represents:

  • Protection from extreme weather

  • A safe environment for the children to grow

  • Hope for a better future beyond survival

This transformation was only possible through the compassion of our supporters.
