Help Provide Urgent
Food Aid in Bangladesh

Restrictions on activities and movement were imposed across Bangladesh as cases and deaths jumped to their highest levels since the start of the pandemic.

As the coronavirus pandemic shows no signs of a slowdown, the livelihood of day labourers in Bangladesh becomes more vulnerable as a fall in work and wages.

Day labourers like porters, stonemasons, construction workers, rickshaws and van pullers who are dependent on daily incomes are now suffering due to sudden unemployment, which has taken away their ability to pay for food.

The impacts of the Covid-19 lockdown on earnings and food security of low-income people across the country of day labourers have come down to almost zero.
